Through experimenting with an archive of family photographs, this series of images explore the feminine and masculine that function under the surface of society. These images have particular references to specific social issues rooted in a dominant male culture. The title of this project, "Shirin's Dream", is inspired by the name of a legendary tragic romance in classical Persian poetry known as "Shirin and Farhad", which is a mythical story of a love affair between a female and a male icon in a constant battle for love. Part of the poem says:
Maybe Shirin is dreaming of Farhad,
Maybe Farhad has permeated Shirin's dream.
